Can a Car Guy Learn New Tricks?

The dealership industry, I have learned, is horrendously outdated. The men who have built the foundations of what car sales is today are retiring. Their manner of conducting business and what they contributed to the industry is being replaced by a new generation, who have a lot to live up to. At the same time, navigating sales in a globalized, tech-based society, is not a challenge our old dogs had to face. The values have also changed as the American economic landscape has changed. And really, how we relate to each other has also changed. What can we learn from our older generation of car guys? And what can they learn from us when they leave?

Leave me a comment and tell me what your experience was like. What is one piece of advice you have to offer to all the other car guys out there?
